2000 Years of Budgeting

My Dad sent me this and it's so good it not only makes me feel better when I read it but it also is blog-worthy for sure. I looked on Snopes.com to see if it's really a valid quote and I couldn't find it. That's usually a good sign. Either way I don't care if it is -- the point is still 100% valid.

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work instead of living on public assistance."
Cicero - 55 BC
